: Hope Force International is responding immediately to the devastating floods in and around the city of Nashville, Tennessee. With our previous experience in areas affected by Hurricanes Katrina, Ike and Gustav, Hope Force is already hard at work meeting the needs of afflicted individuals in Middle Tennessee. “As an organization, we are called to focus on the needs of the world – now those same needs are literally being brought to our doorstep,” explains Jack Minton. “Our volunteers are currently working at various feeding sites in the Nashville area. Other team members are endeavoring to provide much-needed emotional and spiritual support to flood survivors.

“We are also engaged in the mucking out of buildings and debris clean up in the Antioch area. Hope Force has extensive experience in responding to disasters and is prepared to serve our local community. Staff members are standing ready to provide consultation services for uninsured homeowners who would benefit from an experienced assessment of their home, church or business. We are preparing for a long-term recovery effort” Hope Force spent more than three years in Gulf Coast communities assisting in the recovery efforts as well as rebuilding homes and lives after Hurricane Katrina. “We are now in a position to bring these years of experience to benefit our “neighbors” in Nashville and its environs,” says Jack.

During the current response effort Hope Force is focusing on families or individuals who did not have insurance coverage to provide for adequate housing. Staff members are standing ready to provide for local residents who have lost homes and would benefit from consultation services that will help provide the best means possible of rebuilding, when their home is not fully insured.

Uninsured homeowners are encouraged to contact the Brentwood office at 615-371-1271 or by email at: info@hopeforce.org. Experienced staff members are available for consultations as well as site visits, as needed. As an agency dedicated to “A compassionate response to crisis and disaster” staff members and Reservists are committed to providing individualized attention and assistance to those affected by Middle Tennessee’s flooding.

Hope Force has established a fund to facilitate assistance efforts for those affected by the flooding in Central Tennessee. If you would like to contribute, please note "Nashville Floods" when you make a gift. Thank you.
