Dear friends of Hope Force International,

On Friday, June 13th, Hope Force International will be officially five years old. It's hard to believe that it has been five years since a small band of men and women from across the country gathered in our living room here in Tennessee to consummate the birth of a brand new ministry. As we formed a circle and asked God's blessings of wisdom, knowledge and understanding, we were keenly aware of His presence and pleasure. The Lord has faithfully added numerous pillars of strength to the board and team since then, for which we are grateful. God has been very, very good to us.

Cherie and I want to take this occasion to say thank you. Thank you to our staff, board members, Hope Force Reservists, and prayer and financial supporters. You've prayed, given sacrificially, served in tough places, and have become a part of the extended Hope Force family. Together, we form a team, each with a position to fulfill; a team wherein the love of God can and does invade the gloominess of despair with the great light and life of God's hope. This hope is conveyed through followers of Jesus daring enough to put their love of God into compassionate action. It is an honor and a privilege to count you as a team member.

We realize that Hope Force International is at a crossroads in many respects. We are grateful for all that God has done. We see a future full of promise and potential. In many respects, we've just begun — and beyond doubt, the best is yet to come. We look forward to sharing the future of Hope Force International with you — our dear friends. Please join us this week, especially on Friday, by thanking God for all He's done, and join us in asking for His continuing direction and provision.
