January 19, 2010: Hope Force personnel are on the ground in Haiti, thanks to a dedicated team of support staff and rapid response planning. Hope Force Founder and President, Jack Minton, along with Craig Snow and Dr. Tim Browne are leading the assessment efforts that will begin to provide pathways for personnel and equipment to flow to this nation in turmoil. Partner agencies and churches are mobilizing lifesaving supplies and will begin sending them through the delivery channels that are now opening through these efforts.

Please uphold our in-country team with your prayers. The situation in Haiti is deteriorating in the midst of the suffering, loss and destruction. Every available resource in terms of planning and support will be made available as we seek to fulfill our initial objectives to reach those who are in such need.
Two aircraft have been made available to shuttle our medical teams and provisions from the United States into Haiti. Several long-standing Hope Force partners plan to channel their support through our initiatives:

  • Mariners Church in Orange County, California
  • Rock Harbor Church in Costa Mesa, California
  • Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, Tennessee
Haiti

These churches have many Hope Force Reservists and regularly host our disaster relief training seminars. Even more, many of the reservists from these congregations will make up the medical teams preparing to join us in bringing aid and assistance to those who are suffering in Haiti through our growing partnership. Smith & Nephew has pledged full support by providing orthopedic supplies and equipment for these medical interventions.

Our partner agency, World Relief, has well-established networks within Haiti already and will work with us in reaching the country’s most vulnerable victims. CoAid, Cure International, the Firm Foundation and Youth With A Mission are joining our efforts to provide a compassionate response in the name of Christ. The sharing of resources, knowledge and expertise will provide a means of multiplying our mutual goals and objectives.

The mission of Hope Force is to equip willing responders and mobilize them onto pathways of service. The crisis in Haiti is providing avenues for dedicated individuals to utilize their expertise and efforts to reach our world’s most needy men, women and children. You can join us by:
