To First Responders...

To First Responders...

Deputy Fire Chief, Kirk Dominic
Costa Mesa Fire Department
HFI West Coast Liaison

To fellow first responders and healthcare professionals:

I was introduced to Jack and Cherie Minton, the founders of Hope Force International, in early 2006 by a mutual friend. Our friendship and professional relationship grew rapidly as I learned more about HFI’s mission, vision, and core values. I personally observed Jack’s and Cherie’s unconditional love and compassion toward people in need. As first responders and healthcare professionals, this is what we do everyday and is why many of us chose our occupations.

Jack and Cherie have committed their lives to serve the needy and to train other Christians to come alongside them. God has truly blessed the mission and vision of HFI as evidenced by the fruit on their efforts. They have developed a powerfully dynamic organization that is making a significant, positive difference in the field of disaster response and relief.

From the full-time staff to the many HFI Reservists around the country, I am honored to be part of the HFI team. We share the same passion for training and mobilizing the Christian community (the Church) to respond in times of crisis and/or chronic need to alleviate suffering and bring hope through compassionate actions.

You are needed!

As a 20-year veteran in the fire service as a first responder, I am excited to see the new opportunity that HFI is developing which will allow first responders (firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, USAR personnel, law enforcement personnel, etc.) and healthcare professionals (nurses, nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, medical doctors, surgeons, etc.) to utilize their professional skills.

HFI is establishing three teams to address emergency medical needs in an international disaster scenario where the local response capacity is overwhelmed. The three teams are: Medical Response Teams, Surgical Response Teams, and Medical Training Teams. These teams will be comprised of a cadre of first responders and healthcare professionals working together to provide medical assistance and service within a disaster environment.

I strongly encourage you to consider becoming a part of this new and valuable resource to serve others who are hurting and in need. For more information on HFI and these medical teams, please contact Hope Force International at (615) 371-1271 and ask for Jack or Cherie.
